Mares Puck Pro+ Dive Computer

The Mares Puck Pro+ is the successor to the legendary Puck Pro, one of the best-selling dive computers globally for its rugged build and price-to-performance ratio. The wide-puck form factor with a single navigation button is especially intuitive — fully operable with thick gloves. It accepts up to two nitrox mixes (21–99% O₂) with pO₂ adjustable from 1.2 to 1.6 bar, placing it a step above entry-level computers.

The Mares-Wienke RGBM algorithm accounts for microbubble formation and is more conservative than pure Bühlmann models, reducing DCS risk on multi-dive days. The logbook stores up to 35 hours of data at a 5-second sampling rate. The CR2032 battery is user-replaceable and lasts around 400 dives. Firmware is field-updatable, and the optional BLUELINK module adds Bluetooth sync to the Mares BLUElink app for mobile log review.

Its display, though slightly smaller than the Zoop Novo’s, is highly legible. Downsides include the lack of a native freediving mode and the need for the add-on BLUELINK accessory for wireless connectivity. In Argentina, the Puck Pro+ is available through specialist diving importers and dive shops; availability on MercadoLibre is intermittent. It is the recommended choice for divers planning nitrox dives or trips involving multiple dives per day.
